I have been researching the outlook on Amazon FBA for 2022 and nothing looks clear.
– Freight Cost Remains Up
– Raw Material Remains Up
– Amazon Fees just increased
– Cost Per Click is Up
And the more research I do, the reality sets in that Amazon Profit Margins are going to continue to get squeezed. But an interesting study from Business Insider states that the for the first time in years, customers are starting their search on Google more than Amazon when it comes to purchasing new products.
For years, Amazon PPC has been the best for advertising since Amazon shoppers are low hanging fruit
– People that shop on Amazon have the highest likelihood to convert into sales
But over the last 16 months, Amazon PPC has exploded in price. Cost per click is up 20%+ and Acos is up another 5%+ in my products.
But if more customers are starting their shopping journey on Google, I think we should shift our marketing spend to Google Adwords and Youtube Ads.
