While Wallake has acknowledged the viral picture, his original post saw him suffer parody by some LinkedIn users.

Braden Wallake, chief executive of Ohio-based B2B marketing agency HyperSocial, has gone viral after taking to LinkedIn to announce he was having to lay off some staff at the company.
Wallake posted a tearful selfie on his LinkedIn profile, with the post receiving more than 32,000 likes and 6,500 comments.
“This will be the most vulnerable thing I’ll ever share,” he wrote. “I’ve gone back and forth whether to post this or not. We just had to lay off a few of our employees.”
