The past year has been a wild ride for our startup – MondoPlayer.
MondoPlayer was started as an R&D project, dedicated to producing a better viewing experience for people interested in video. We combined specialized search technology with a new kind of browser that allows users to surf the web while only seeing video.
Our startup is a classic case of a technology in search of a market.
Our company launched an Android App in Beta in late 2014. It was well received by our Beta users who used it primarily as an entertainment tool.
Users loved being able to select a topic and surf only video without the interruption of text or the inconvenience of having to switch between websites.
After running tests to find our Product Market Fit we stumbled upon a big opportunity.
It turns out, our technology appeals to Content Marketers.
MondoPlayer is ideally suited to Content Discovery professionals who want to include video in their social media campaigns. They have an continuous need to find, preview and post a lot of content on their various social media platforms.
Video is the most engaging form of content. According to Facebook, video gets a 25% engagement rate, which is far above other forms of content. As luck would have it, MondoPlayer is ideal for people managing Content Marketing campaigns (curators), because it saves them a tonne of time.
So we’re pleased to announce that in January 2016, MondoPlayer will be releasing MondoPlayer Pro – with a wide range of exciting new features that will make Video Content Marketing and Video Content Curation much faster and easier.
