These issues can immediately make eCommerce beginners wonder if their choice of running Google Shopping campaigns is a wrong move. Well, there’s a variety of reasons why this can happen, and we’ll go through them in this video.Google Shopping Ads no impressionsIf your ads are getting no impressions, you need to look at the variables below, which might be causing the issues.TimeHow long has it been since you made the campaign? Make sure it’s at least 3 days. Because it takes time after you launch your campaign for Google to index your feed and start showing to people (impressions).Campaign is liveThe next thing you want to check is if your campaign is live. Make sure that it’s set to “Active”.Google Ads billing issues or suspensionThe next thing you need to check is if there are any issues with your Google Ads account or billing in Google Ads. You’ll usually see a big red banner at the top of your account telling you there’s an issue. So if you see this, fix it immediately.GMC Account connected to Google AdsMake sure that you’ve linked your Google Ads account to your Google Merchant Center account. You can check this by going to Tools and settings and under “Setup” click “Linked Accounts”.Issues in GMC Account (disapprovals or suspensions)You need to make sure there are no issues in your Google Merchant Center account. So regularly check your account and look for any suspensions or errors which would usually show at the top of the screen on your Merchant Center dashboard.Google Shopping campaign settingsYou also need to check your Google Shopping campaign settings. You’ll have set these when you created your campaign, but if you didn’t do it properly, it could cause issues with your Google Shopping ads not showing.Bids high enoughIf you set your bids too low, then you won’t get any impressions because your ad rank will be too low to even show. Usually, I’ll set my bids for new campaigns to about $1.Remove negative keywordsMake sure you don’t have unnecessary negative keywords. At the start, I don’t recommend adding many negative keywords, just to let google really try out your products on its network and get some initial data. This is, of course, only if you’ve optimized your product feed.Remove all bidding adjustmentsBidding adjustments are edits you make to your bids based on user factors like device, time of day and week, location, and other demographical data. Adding these too early can restrict your campaign unnecessarily so you want to remove these if possible.Start a fresh campaign and follow our campaign setup videoLastly, if you’re still not getting impressions after a week, I recommend starting a new campaign from scratch. There could be some sort of adjustment or campaign setting that’s restricting your campaign and instead of trying to find it, you can start your campaign from scratch.Now, how about if you’re getting no clicks on your campaigns?
