So there’s two ways you can hire people. Sometimes quite often we will hire somebody who doesn’t know anything. So we train them, we teach them our systems, our workflows and so on. It may take them a little bit of a while six months to a year so we start them as an intern as a junior and then as they get the confidence they get better we progress them with the job as well. Sometimes you need somebody who is good.So what you want to do is in the interview process just don’t look at the CV and see what they’ve done in the past which companies they’ve worked in and so on do a live audit like this open up your screen one of the accounts and said okay tell me how you would look at this account how are you going to audit this and potentially what are the leakages and the wastage in this account and how you can stop it to make it more profitable because when you are talking to somebody face to face there’s no hiding place right a lot of marketers shy away from going live like this because they don’t know what is going to be thrown at them I don’t know what questions are going to pop up and I do bring them up on the screen I’m not saying I know everything sometimes I don’t know so I’ll be honest enough and I said look I don’t know this or I’m not the best person to ask this question so it’s no shame and not knowing anything, it’s just you keep on learning as you go. So when they click on your asset group one they will go to that landing page and then they’re browsing around and they click on some other pages on your website Google is collecting all this information and then it is going to take into account the remarketing and also end of this I think later on in the year or before the end of this year Google is going to stop running smart shopping. smart shopping is going to come into Performance Max so then the dynamic remarketing will also run through there so you don’t need to worry about it is going to run pretty smoothly. I see so many campaigns being run without improper conversion tracking or no conversion tracking at all. Now Google has made this as part of the campaign setup. Without this you cannot proceed. So as soon as you select your objectives you will be asked to select which conversion goal you need. If you haven’t got any, you click on the add goal and set it up and you can set up all of your conversions by going to tools and settings and then conversions. Here’s a quick guide to what you need to know about Performance Max campaigns in Google Ads.So, the Performance Max is a new goal-based campaign type that allows performance advertisers to access all of their Google Ads inventory from a single campaign. That’s right you heard it right from a single campaign so what we have learnt over the years to keep search, display, video, Gmail, shopping all these types of ads in separate campaigns because all of them have got separate metrics. Google have completely turned the tables around and simplified it in a way that it is super easy and very effective to run such a campaign time and if you’re not running it yet, you should be by the end of this session. So, what they’ve done is they’ve thrown all their toys into one place into one campaign and they’ve taken away the keywords. Now, this is great news for those of you who struggle with keywords. If you struggled with the keywords, match types, negative keywords, search queries and all that, there’s none of it. You don’t need to worry about it.Google has created this campaign type which on the basis of the audience only and in my humble opinion I think keywords are the days of the keywords are now numbered sooner or later they are going to take it away because the algorithm is getting so powerful we really won’t need keywords as such. So they’ve thrown everything in here. So as you can see on the screen we’ve got images, we’ve got logos, we’ve got videos, and we’ve got text. All of them in one ad campaign or ad type. Then you can run these ads on YouTube, Gmail, Search, Display and discover all the five Google channels and networks.So it’s a very powerful way to get your name in front of that and it’s not only about branding and brand awareness is as they said it’s a goal-based campaign. You can run campaigns on the basis of your conversions. What your CPA is, what your ROAS needs to be all of this you can run and tell Google what you are looking for. So, here’s what all these ads or one ad needs all of these items. So, you can upload up to 20 images, 5 logos, 5 videos, 5 headlines of 30 characters each, 5 long headlines of 90 characters each, one description of 60 characters, 4 descriptions of 90 characters, call to action button, business name, final and display URL.Now, I don’t know why they make it simple and get rid of the description I guess for 60 characters is for smaller ad sizes which I can appreciate but then they’ve got five headlines of 30 characters and five headlines of 90 characters again depending on the size of the ad. They’ve got that but it’s pretty difficult to keep up with all of these different character counts and how many ads or how many headlines and descriptions they need. But it’s all in there you can’t go wrong even if you don’t remember it by heart. So I’m going to show and share some of the ad previews as to the how these ads look in the interface when they are run. So here’s a YouTube ad. This video will tell you what an actionable bounce rate is and what are some reasons why your bounce rate is high.Can you please explain about bounce rate? okay so when somebody lands on a landing page they either take certain actions which you want them to take or they click on to go to another page of on your website or they just completely bounce off your website so that’s what it means if you’re going to ask me what’s a good number or a best number for bounce rate, there is no such thing. Just like there is no such thing as a best conversion rate or a click-through rate either.Because if I’m driving somebody to my landing page and they take the call to action which I want them to do so let’s say my call to action is for them to opt in to my webinar and they’ve done that the job of that landing page has been done it has done its job of converting that person into a subscriber right or a lead I don’t want them to go and visit another 10 pages so even if my bounce rate is very high I am got the result which I want them to do. So this is what it means is to how many people come through to your blog. So if you’re driving traffic to a blog let’s say.I would want the bounce rate to be low because then I want them to visit other blog post other pages about me page, pricing page, contact page and so on. So in that case or scenario, I want my bounce rate to be as low as possible. Whereas if they bounce if they land on my land blog post and then they keep bouncing off that tells me that my content is not good. They don’t like what they see or I’m attracting the wrong traffic. But on the other side where I’m just sending them to a dedicated landing page and just asking them for that email. As long as I keep getting that email I don’t care whether they bounce or not.
