Even Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, is in on the Charli XCX “brat” memes powering the Harris campaign’s social media strategy.
On Monday, Emhoff shared Charli XCX’s X post declaring “Kamala IS brat” and added, “@charli_xcx gets it.”
The Harris campaign’s official TikTok account also shared a screenshot of the post on Monday along with a meme referencing the singer’s sixth studio album, “Brat,” and its green artwork.
In a video on TikTok, Charli XCX described the concept of “brat” as someone “who feels herself but then also maybe has a breakdown but kind of like parties through it.” The album has sparked viral TikTok dance trends and declarations of a “brat summer.”
