CINCINNATI (ENQUIRER) – As Ohio-based companies Joann Fabrics and Big Lots deal with store closures, another national retailer is joining the crowd, our partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer report.
According to a report by The Street, the home decor and houseware retailer Kirkland’s Home plans to close their unprofitable stores.
Which Kirkland’s Home stores will close?
Kirkland’s has not yet announced which locations it intends to close, but it has set some criteria.
On Wednesday, the retailer announced it would close or improve 6% of its 317 store locations that don’t meet its profitability standards. The retailer also has plans to improve its e-commerce, improve conversion, and prioritize profitability. The 6% figure equates to roughly 19 stores that could close.
