Sen. Rick Scott files bill to close ‘loopholes’ for China in making US flags [Video]

FLORIDA, USA — Florida Sen. Rick Scott along with two other senators announced a bill dubbed as the ‘Make American Flags in America Act’ Thursday, in an effort to “ensure all American flags displayed by a federal agency and purchased using U.S. tax dollars are made in America.”

Scott introduced the bill alongside Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis.

In 2024, Congress passed and President Joe Biden signed into law the ‘All-American Flag Act.’ The law prohibits federal agencies from using funds to procure a U.S. flag unless the flag has been made in the United States from materials that have been grown, produced or manufactured in the U.S.
