Heart of Maine United Way tries new way to fundraise [Video]

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – “Where most people are focused on really high-quality cinematic video, we do as well, but then we focus most of our attention on the entertainment value,” said Ethan Levesque, Northern Oak Media video production specialist and marketing strategist.

Maine-based Northern Oak Media is helping Heart of Maine United Way with a new kind of fundraiser.

“The Northern Oak Tournament is a super different type of fundraising. I’ve dubbed it ‘Content for a Cause.’ Basically, we just tried to create a video campaign that is just so exciting and electric and funny and well rounded and packed with Maine humor that it can’t be ignored,” said Levesque.

The recorded online golfing challenge features four Maine influencers including Ethan Levesque of ‘The Mainah Man,’ Jared Baker of “Maine Cabin Masters,” Game Warden Kris MacCabe of “North Woods Law,” and Chris Rudolph of Waterfront Concerts.

This format aims to engage viewers and help them learn more about the organization.
