Meta Platforms to be penalised by South Korea’s antitrust commission for allegedly neglecting to safeguard local customers on its Facebook and Instagram e-commerce platforms. The Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has sent a report to the US technology giant after concluding its investigation into Meta’s purported infractions of the country’s e-commerce law, according to sources cited by Yonhap news agency.
They noted that Meta’s handling of user complaints in the Facebook and Instagram markets was the study’s main emphasis.
Through these markets, Facebook and Instagram users may buy and sell new and used things nearby. Furthermore, Meta offers a solution to help small businesses create separate company accounts for their online transactions.
