(WFSB) – All week Eyewitness News is taking a closer look at how you can make cash online.

The social media world is full of influencers selling items on apps like Instagram and making money off what you buy.

Channel 3 took a closer look at affiliate links and whether the cut of commission is enough.

If you scroll through social media, you’ve probably seen influencers sharing links, for everything from yoga pants to televisions.

“The influencer gets a commission based on all of the sales that are generated through their links,” said Charles Brooks, Quinnipiac Marketing Professor.
